Happy Weekend lovelies! It's finally here and I couldn't be happier after my crazy-busy week! Right now I'm relaxing with a good cup of coffee, about to eat breakfast, & go for a nice run to start my day. Yesterday I was in the mood to mix two of my fave prints in my closet: black/white stripes & bold, bright flowers. I know many of you might be afraid to try this, but I'm telling you that you will create a lot of new outfits from your closet if you try to mix prints.

Here are some Do's & Don'ts I find helpful, when mixing prints:

Don't over do it. Flowers AND leopard print are going overboard. Either one or the other in ONE oufit.

Do stick with a neutral palette. Don't try to mix two bright prints in one outfit. Ensure one print is more subdued then the other {like my outfit above, a bold pattern paired w/ black & white stripes}.

Do ensure that you have one solid color or two that can balance out the outfit.

Don't use two busy prints in one outfit. One bold graphic element will work the best.

Now get to your closet & start mixing prints! {Make sure you drop me a line if you do, I'd love to see what you come up with!}
