{The Chain Gang/Vintage Swap} Fuzzy Purple Jacket + Giveaway!
Hey there loves! It's time for another vintage swap with The Chain Gang! :D If you're unfamiliar with The Chain Gang and our fun vintage swaps, we are a group of bloggers that are obsessed with vintage and just love to thrift shop! Back in 2011, the gorgeous Tanya from NovemberGrey contacted me for our very first swap and since then it's taken off! Our goal with "The Chain Gang" is to not only share the love of vintage with eachother, but with all of you! The best part is that one lucky follower of ours gets to win the piece we feature?! Pretty darn awesome, huh? You can check out our past vintage swaps below:
The Sea Shell Skirt - March 2011 (Tanya & Jennifer)
The Bright Orange Skirt - April 2011 (Tanya, Jennifer, & Noa)
Champagn Cropped Trousers - July 2011 (Tanya, Jennifer, Noa, & Devon)
Southwest Jacket - October 2011 (Tanya, Jennifer, Noa, & Devon)
DIY Sequin Jacket - March 2012 (Tanya, Jennifer, Noa, Devon, Jen, Sarah, & Yola)
Floral Shortsleeved Jacket - September 2012 (Tanya, Jennifer, Noa, & Devon)
This time, sweet Sarah from LivingGoldie picked the vintage piece for us to style! This jacket is not only soft and fuzzy, but the purple color is even more gorg in person! I couldn't wait to style this piece! Obviously these photos were taken some time ago (October 2012 to be exact), so that's why I'm sporting my baby bump! :) I decided to stick with vintage for the piece beneath the jacket, so I wore one of my fave vintage floral dresses. I was shocked that it fit over my growing belly, but quite pleased because the colors in the dress complimented the jacket wonderfully! I just love when that happens, don't you?
Now the fun part! One lucky follower of ours will win this beautiful vintage jacket! All you have to do is head on over to Sarah's blog: LivingGoldie to see how you can enter to win it! And if you do, you've gotta send us some pics so we can see how you styled it!
Don't forget to check out how the other girls in the gang styled it:
Tanya from NovemberGrey
Noa from Sunsetand5th
Jen from TheSuburbExperiment
LivingGoldie
Oh yeah, and if you are a vintage lover as much as we are (and you're a blogger too!), shoot us an email and maybe we'll choose to invite you to our next swap! ;)

DIY Inspo: Rhinestone Embellished Denim
{Alicia Lund is the face behind the addicting blog cheetahisthenewblack, and her DIY version of these Christopher Kane x J Brand Jeans can be found HERE! I think she did a fabulous job!}
{I recently discovered Brittany Hart's blog: TheFashionDrug and I love it! Her DIY version of Christopher Kane's embellished shorts were practically identical! You can find the DIY instructions HERE! She also has another rad denim DIY (featuring star print shorts) that can be viewed HERE!}
{I instantly fell in love with Laura Ellner's H&M ankle cuffed rhinestone jeans! So chic! If you aren't familiar with her blog, OnTheRacks, you must check it out! Her style rocks! Although I was unable to find a DIY on these jeans, I think they'd be super easy to pull off!!}
{And how fun is this embellished denim vest?! You can view the DIY from the blog StudsandPearls, HERE!}
If any of you have already tried these DIY's, or if you end up trying one of these after viewing my post -- please let me know how it went! Would love to hear your tips or hear how your DIY turned out! :)

The Chain Gang Vintage Swap & Giveaway! {Sequin Story}
Hey lovelies!! I've been patiently waiting to debut the latest vintage swap to you all, and today I can! If you aren't familiar with "The Chain Gang Vintage Swap," then you must check out our past swaps: HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE (FYI- some of the photos might not show in full, since I have changed my layout since then). The Chain Gang was Tanya's creation, and it started early last year. Tanya contacted me, and we started to swap items back and forth. After a couple of swaps, Noa joined -- then Devon, and most recently: Jenn, Sarah, and Yola! The Swap is all about girls around the country sharing a vintage or thrift item by styling it, snapping photos of it, and then passing it on to the next girl. The goal of the swap is to inspire girls around the world to break out of their shells and give thrifting and vintage shopping a chance. It's amazing what you can snag from a vintage or thrift shop, and for SO cheap! {if you follow my blog regularly, then you know what I mean} We hope that, by each of us styling the piece in our own individual way, it will show the potential a thrift or vintage piece has -- and how much fun you can have with just one item! It really boils down to clothing and accessories in general. It's so much fun to style one piece multiple ways -- and as you can see, we've all styled this amazing sequin jacket in a unique way! Noa is the brains behind this fab sequin & beaded number, and you can see how it was created (yes, Noa transformed a top into this jacket) on her & Tanya's other blog: HERE.
Here's how I styled the sparkly jacket:
{tee: thrifted Lilly Pulitzer (similar styles HERE and HERE); leather skirt: vintage (love this Free People skirt HERE); sunnies: HoH1960 (get them in black or tortoise HERE); wedges: Zara}
**Want a chance to win this gorgeous jacket for yourself? Head on over to Noa's blog: SunsetandFifth to enter!! And be sure to visit each of these blogs to get a full story on how each of the Chain Gang sisters wore it: Tanya from NovemberGrey, Devon from DevonRachel, Jenn from TheSuburbExperiment, Sarah from LivingGoldie, and Yola from YolaThorp. xo!

Have fun with furs and knits by pairing them with bright clothing & accessories, or by keeping it casual with a great pair of distressed denim.
